Application Requirements

All Outset Year (Freshman) Applicants

Transfer Applicants

  1. Submit a completed Common Application Form*, along with a nonrefundable $70 application fee. (Ringling does not accept fee waivers for transfer applicants. Transfer Credits and Placement

Ringling College will consider for transfer any liberal arts or studio art credit that meets our academic requirements and where a grade of C or better was earned from a regionally-accredited college or university. Studio fine art credit will be awarded based upon the criteria above and a portfolio review. All of Ringling Higher's studio courses are sequential and take pre-requisites.  Students take to consummate the 1st-year studio courses before taking 2nd-year studio courses; 2nd 'year studio courses before taking 3rd-year studio courses; and 3rd-year studio courses before taking the quaternary-twelvemonth capstone/thesis courses.

Transfer Credits for Military machine Applicants

Transfer of Credit Policies + Articulation Agreements

Studio Transfer Credit
Students who accept taken studio art courses at some other regionally accredited institution of higher educational activity may have those courses and a portfolio reviewed past the department head or Academic Diplomacy designee to determine if the credits can employ to the caste requirements for the Available of Fine Arts or Bachelor of Arts degrees.  Requests for studio transfer credit must be supported past a sufficient number of portfolio submissions that demonstrate the competencies associated with those required by the majors.

Art History Transfer Credit
Students who have taken art history courses at some other regionally accredited institution of higher education may have those courses evaluated by the Academic Advisors in the Part of Advising, Records, and Registration Services to determine if they meet the degree requirements for the Bachelor of Fine Arts or Bachelor of Arts Degree. Departments at Ringling College may have specific art history requirements such equally a history of the discipline. Liberal Arts Transfer Credit

Admission to Advanced Continuing by Portfolio Review

Residency Requirement

Articulation Agreement

Veterans

Ringling College is approved for veterans' study nether several GI bills, and participates in the Yellowish Ribbon Program.  Veterans should contact the Veteran Certifying Official in the Office of Advising, Records and Registration Services for more than information.

International Students:

Students who score between 94 and 104 may be required to enroll in English as a Second Linguistic communication (ESL) courses at the College. Veteran Applicants

Students applying for benefits will be required to provide proof of eligibility prior to receiving benefits.  New students applying for benefits must make an appointment to see the Veteran's Assistants (VA) Certifying Official in the Office of Advising, Records and Registration.  The VA Certifying Official will then complete eligibility papers for the pupil and submit them to the VA.  Eligible students must maintain satisfactory academic progress for all terms in which they are enrolled, in order to continue to receive benefits.

Readmission Applicants

Students who have previously attended Ringling College of Art and Design and wish to return to complete their caste program should complete this application.  Students who took courses at other institutions since attending Ringling College must present an official final transcript with grades of "C" or meliorate to be considered for readmission. Feb 15:

Priority FAFSA filing deadline.

Calculator Animation

International Baccalaureate Credit

Ringling College recognizes the International Baccalaureate (IB) program. Students with IB coursework may be given credit for individual liberal arts courses if they score five through 7 on the IB College-Level Examinations.
